Fiesta at Peñaranda


Some of my childhood vacations were spent at my parents hometown, Peñaranda, Nueva Ecija.

Every Flores de Mayo, my cousins and I used to wake up in the morning to gather sampaguita from my grandma's garden. We made garlans out of it and offer it to Mama Mary in the afternoon.


We used to gather fallen "Kaimito" leaves and use it as play money. haha!


The smell of my grandma's cooking.... The Goto, Palabok, Halo-halo, Mais con yelo... saaaaaarap! all available in the afternoon merienda.

I can't remember the last time I've been to a fiesta in Peñaranda, Yes! It was that long that I can't remember. I took pictures off course. Here are some:
